Auggie Fontanilla is a Filipino contemporary artist, street artist, and designer. His multidisciplinary work includes painting, sculpture and t-shirt printing, blending religious iconography with tattoo philosophy, Americana, gangs, and prison emblems. He has shown work in numerous galleries in the Philippines and abroad, including a solo exhibition entitled ‘Kristo Y Kristos’ at the prestigious Cultural Center of the Philippines.
Fontanilla, a long-time collaborator of Charles Buenconsejo, is part of the Whangārei-based arts collective, Soil of Cultures. He is their in-house artist and graphic designer responsible for creating their brand identity, website, zines and other promotional materials.
