Rissim Contemporary was established in 2019 with the intention of exhibiting the work of young, emerging, and mid-career Malaysian artists, while bringing it to the attention of a younger and larger audience.

Their program currently focuses on developing the careers of a new generation of artists that constructed their practice from within Malaysia’s vibrant ecosystem. Operated on the second floor of a storefront space on Jalan Telawi, the gallery serves as a node between current and relevant artistic practices and a new generation of viewers, collectors, and curators.
